Crafty Kids

My kids really enjoy doing crafts and are constantly requesting it (especially my oldest). They get really excited when we do certain themed crafts for each holiday. This week we did a few Easter crafts. Liv and Finn made little rabbit wreaths and decorated Easter cookies. Anna sat close by and was thrilled to pull stickers off and put them on paper. For Christmas, we gave Anna some baby friendly crayons that are made out of beeswax and dyed with natural colors so they are non-toxic. She loves to color with them and if one happens to find its way in her mouth (which it does frequently) I don't worry TOO much.

I believe doing arts and crafts teaches kids so many things. Like fine motor skills, colors, shapes, and gives them the ability to create and express themselves. I love watching them use their imagination to create something and follow it through to see the end result.
