Goodbye Iowa

Hello! It has been a while since I have posted anything and I thought it was time I gave an update. So much has happened in the last couple of months. Life changes so quickly and we are doing our best to keep up with it.

The biggest update is that we have moved back to Utah! Our plan was to stay in Iowa for a few more years but, all of a sudden, Stephen and I felt like it was the right time to make the move. Everything happened so fast. Stephen found a job within a week and we put our house up for sale and sold it a week later. We were very sad to leave our home. We loved that home so much and it had become a haven for us as we had moved there during the craziness of COVID. We spent a lot of time in that home and have very fond memories there. It was sad to leave my family behind in Omaha and we will always cherish those memories and time that we were able to spend out there. There were many tears that were shed as we closed our Iowa chapter. We lived there for 6 years and had two babies out there. It will always be a place that I will hold dear to my heart. But, even as we were sad to leave, we still knew we were making the right decision for our family.

Stephen started his new job a few weeks ago and really likes all the people that he works with. The kids and I have been staying super busy spending time with family and friends and living the Utah life to its fullest.

The most stressful part of this whole adventure was trying to find a house out here. The market has been insane! After we had five offers rejected, we finally got a house on our sixth offer! We love the house we got so much. I fell in love with it as soon as we walked through it. We had so many people praying for us to find the right house and we truly have felt the answer to those prayers. We have met several of our new neighbors and people in our new ward and everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. We cannot wait to move in the end of this month.
