The Welling crew headed up to Omaha for Easter last weekend. We had a wonderful time being with family and we were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to do so much outside!
The kids had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs and they could hardly wait for the Easter egg hunt. Liv loves the thrill of searching for the eggs and Finn loves what he finds inside them :) Anna was napping when we did the Easter egg hunt, so we tried to do a mini one for her when she woke up, but she woke up on the wrong side of the pack n play and wasn't having any of it. Finn took on his big brother roll and showed her the treats inside the eggs. Once she figured that out her mood improved and she was thrilled to open all of her eggs.
We also enjoyed being with family for conference and listening to talks from leaders. Conference Sunday is a holiday in and of itself in the Devashrayee family. Mom goes all out and makes all of the crepes and bacon you could ask for. It is one of my favorite traditions.
Stephen and I enjoyed talking to the kids about what Easter really means and teaching them more about The Savior and the resurrection. It is fun watching my kids learn and start to understand things a little better as they get a little older. I think of the love I have for my children and I can feel the love that The Lord has for them as well. One of my favorite things about being a mother is experiencing a love that is so pure that you get a small glimmer of what our Father in Heaven must feel for us. That thought brings me so much peace.
